How to add AI Zoning to Camera
Zones
You can set custom zones for the AI model to detect.
Click on ”+ Add Zone” button to create a new zone.
You can name this new zone configuration and also set the shape and types of objects to detect. VAISense Security also offers different shapes with different amounts of vertices for you to customize your zones.
You can set the confidence value and percentage value for the AI model for each type of detection.
| Confidence | A numerical value indicating how certain an AI model is about its prediction, usually expressed as a percentage between 0 and 100, where a higher number signifies a greater degree of certainty that the output is correct Recommended Value: 0.6 |
| Percentage | The percentage of an object to be in the zone in order for the AI to detect the object as an object type e.g. “car”. A value of 0 turns off zone detection and the functionality is essentially the same as Whole Screen Detection. Recommended Value: 50% |
You can configure whether the AI model will only detect or also start recording when it detects the object
When you are satisfied with your changes, make sure to click “Commit” on the bottom right corner of the page.
You can have multiple zones configured at once.
AI Detection is set to only one of either Zones or Whole Screen at a time. Configurations for both cannot be run at the same time. You may edit your AI configuration and/or Zone by clicking the “⋮” next to each configuration.
